He spent six years guiding computer hardware and reviews coverage at Digital Trends before returning to the freelance world in 2020.

His expertise bridges the gap between consumer technology and leading-edge trends. In addition to his recent work for Reviewed, he reports on consumer technology for PC World and covers artificial intelligence for IEEE Spectrum, the magazine of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

An avid retro gamer, Matthew films video game documentaries for his YouTube channel, Computer Gaming Yesterday.
