If you missed out on Amazon Prime Day this summer, you'll get another chance at those super savings this fall. Amazon recently announced its Prime Big Deal Days event is coming back this October! While we don't have the specific dates yet, we do have the essential info on what you can get during the sale and how to stay on top of the best deals coming from the event.
What is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
Amazon's fall sale is a two-day savings event that typically runs in October. The deals on display tend to have prices that rival Amazon Prime Day earlier in the year. Accessing those deals does require you to have an Amazon Prime membership, which you can sign up for today with a 30-day free trial. The sale will be open to shoppers in 19 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey, and the United States.
When is October Prime Day?
Amazon has not publicly revealed the specific dates for its October Prime Day event this year. Last year's event took place on Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11. The sale starts at the crack of dawn on its first day and runs through midnight on its final day.
Do you need to have an Amazon Prime membership to shop the Prime Big Deal Days sale?
Yes. Similar to Amazon Prime Day, the Prime Big Deal Days sale includes exclusive deals for Amazon Prime members. If you have yet to sign up for Amazon Prime, you'll want to act fast. A standard Amazon Prime membership will run you $14.99 per month, or $139 for a one-year subscription. Meanwhile, students and qualifying government assistance recipients can get a Prime membership for up to 50% off.
How do I sign up for Amazon Prime?
Go to the main Amazon Prime page and click on "Try Prime," then follow the instructions. Note that you need an Amazon account before you can sign up for Prime, but if you don't yet have one, it's easy to set up. Go to Amazon and enter your details to create an account, then add Prime to get the 30-day free trial.
How much is Amazon Prime?
A standard Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 a month, or $139 annually. If you're a college student, you can get a six-month free trial before paying $7.49 a month (or $69 annually)—which is 50% off the standard price. Those on qualifying government assistance can try Prime Access, which is 53% off Prime, at just $6.99 per month after their 30-day free trial.
What will be on sale during Prime Big Deal Days?
The real question is, what won't be on sale during Prime Big Deal Days? You'll be able to find discounts on a wide variety of items, from compact smart tech to sizable kitchen appliances and everything in between. Some of these prices will be the best you'll see until Black Friday in November.
