To celebrate Pride 2024, Aesop is swapping out beauty and skincare for books. The 2024 Aesop Queer Library is opening this June to showcase the works of a diverse collection of LGBTQIA+ authors. This year, the Aesop Gansevoort store in Manhattan has been transformed into a beautiful library of queer, BIPOC, trans, and gender non-conforming authors. From insightful conversation to introspective discovery through literature, the Aesop Queer Library is meant to be a safe space to celebrate Pride 2024, long after the sun sets on the month of June. What is the Aesop Queer Library?
The pop-up library is dedicated to empowering queer authors and stories. Luxury beauty and skincare brand Aesop clears the shelves of products and replaces them with hundreds of books by LGBTQIA2S+ authors. While the library is purposefully open during Pride Month, the initiative is meant to amplify underrepresented voices and inspire conversation far beyond the month of June. In past iterations of the Aesop Queer Library, visitors were able to choose a complimentary book to take home, while supplies last.

The physical Aesop Queer Library is located within the Aesop Gansevoort Street store in New York City. There will be additional satellite stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto that will have digital access to programming and resources.
