What topics will Biden and Trump debate?

Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate 2024’s debate. President Joe Biden will square off against former President Donald Trump—so far, CNN has not released any details as to the topics on the table for the debate, but USA Today reported that debate topics could include policy issues like abortion access and immigration.

What's new with the 2024 debates?

Unlike 2020’s campaign debates, which featured a fair amount of cutting-in, this year the candidates will have their microphones turned off when the other is speaking. Additionally, the candidates will not be allowed to consult with their campaign staff during the two scheduled commercial breaks.

Trump will take the stage as the first major party presidential candidate to have been convicted of a felony, which some believe will feature as a topic in the debate itself.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent candidate, was anticipated by some to appear in Thursday’s debate, but failed to qualify for the event, having received eligibility for too few electoral college votes to attend.

When is the next Biden-Trump debate

Both candidates have agreed to one more debate, which will take place on September 10, 2024. The second debate will be hosted by ABC.

When is the 2024 election?

The 2024 presidential election will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
